We basically spent our entire second day in Oahu with Nathan and Alyssa. First, we drove over to their apartment to see their place and then we went together to visit the
Byodo-In (Buddhist) temple and grounds. This was both beautiful and very interesting.
lot's of good photo opportunities as well. After the temple visit, we had lunch at a local deli and then proceeded to drive around the southeast corner of the island to visit
Makapu'u beach, the Hawaii Kai coastal area, driving through Honolulu, and ending up in the government area to see the former royal palace and statue of King Kamehameha. We ended our tour downtown with a visit to
Lilih's Bakery for some of their famous chocolate cream puffs they call "coco puffs".
